Kling AI Pricing — Plans, Credits & Real Cost Per Video

Updated July 17, 2026

Kling (by Kuaishou) is one of the most-used AI video engines in the world, and its pricing page is one of the most-searched — because everything is denominated in credits and the site never tells you what a finished video costs in dollars. Here is the current plan structure and the per-clip math, worked out for 5-second and 10-second generations.

One honesty note up front: Kling's site blocks automated retrieval, so the numbers below are compiled from recent third-party pricing guides that agree with each other — not pulled live from the official page. Treat them as a close map, not gospel, and confirm on kling.ai before you subscribe. We re-check quarterly.

Compiled from third-party pricing guides (eesel.ai, June 2026, cross-checked against other 2026 sources) because Kling's official membership page can't be captured automatically. Annual billing is reported at 34% off Standard–Premier. Numbers may be out of date or vary by region — check kling.ai/app/membership before subscribing. Subscription credits do not roll over.

What a video actually costs in dollars

Reported Kling 3.0 credit rates: 6 credits/second at 720p (no audio), 8 at 1080p, 9 at 720p with native audio, 12 at 1080p with audio. On Standard ($10, 660 credits ≈ 1.5¢/credit) that works out to: a 5-second 720p silent clip (30 credits) ≈ $0.45; a 5-second 1080p clip with audio (60 credits) ≈ $0.91; a 10-second 1080p clip with audio (120 credits) ≈ $1.82 — meaning Standard buys roughly 5 to 22 clips a month depending on your settings. On Pro ($37, 3,000 credits) the same clips run about $0.74 and $1.48.

Credits get cheaper at the top — by a lot

Per credit, Standard costs about 1.5¢, Pro 1.2¢, Premier 1.15¢ and Ultra 0.7¢ — Ultra's credits are less than half Standard's price, so a 10-second 1080p clip with audio drops from $1.82 to about $0.83. The structure punishes light users: if you generate occasionally, you're paying the highest per-clip rate on the smallest plan, and unused credits vanish at month's end.

The fine print that costs real money

Three reported policies to price in before subscribing: subscription credits expire monthly with no rollover; the free tier's 66 daily credits expire every 24 hours (that's about two 5-second 720p test clips a day); and failed generations are widely reported to still consume credits. On a credit system with no rollover, your real cost per usable clip is always higher than the clean math above.

Is Kling AI worth it?

If you generate video weekly and want Kling's motion quality with the official app's full toolset — multi-shot, extensions, lip sync — Standard at $10 is one of the cheaper entry points among first-party AI video apps, and Pro is the sweet spot once you pass ~15 clips a month. Heavy daily producers who can actually burn 26,000 credits get the best per-clip rate in the lineup on Ultra.

If you generate a handful of clips a month, a monthly subscription with expiring credits is the wrong shape for you — you'll pay the worst per-credit rate and donate the leftovers back. Pay-per-clip access to the same engine is the better fit for occasional use.

Want Kling without the subscription?

You can run the same engine here without a monthly plan: Kling 3.0 — first videos free, pay-as-you-go after, nothing expires at the end of the month. Bigger workloads run on Sunra's Kling 3.0.

What does one Kling video really cost?

On Standard, a 5-second 1080p clip with audio works out to roughly $0.91, and a 10-second one to about $1.82. On Ultra the 10-second clip drops to around $0.83. Silent 720p clips cost roughly half as much.

Is Kling AI free to use?

There's a free tier with a reported 66 credits per day, which covers about two short 720p test clips. Free credits expire in 24 hours and output is watermarked.

No — subscription credits are reported to expire at the end of each billing month, and daily free credits expire in 24 hours.

Does Kling watermark videos?

Free-tier output is watermarked; paid plans include watermark removal.

Is there a cheaper way to use Kling?

For occasional use, pay-per-clip platforms running the Kling engine beat a subscription with expiring credits — you only pay for what you generate. This site runs Kling 3.0 that way, with free first videos.
