Artlist AI — What the AI Suite Includes, Pricing & Who It's For

Updated July 17, 2026

Artlist made its name licensing royalty-free music and stock footage to filmmakers. In 2026 it's something bigger: an AI production suite with video, image, voiceover and music generation across 100+ licensed models — Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana, Sora-class engines — plus 'unlimited generation' tiers and an end-to-end production workspace called Artlist Studio, all sitting next to the original stock catalog.

This review covers what the AI Suite actually includes, the current plan structure with the credit math, and an honest read on who the bundle serves versus who should run generation engines directly. It's based on Artlist's published plans and FAQ; hands-on generation comparisons will land in a future update.

Source: artlist.io/pricing, fetched July 17, 2026. Annual billing is roughly 40% below monthly, and credit counts are configurable within each tier (Creator–Professional scale from 80,000 up to 4,000,000 credits at higher prices), so treat the figures above as the base configuration of each plan. Stock-only plans (Music & SFX, Footage & Templates) and Max pricing weren't captured in our fetch — check the pricing page. Prices exclude VAT.

The honest read

The credit math — and what 'up to 206 videos' implies

AI Starter on annual billing is $11.99 for 16,500 credits (~0.07¢ per credit). Artlist's own card says that's 'up to 206 AI videos' — divide it out and the cheapest video model costs about 80 credits, roughly 5.8¢ per clip, with 'up to 1,650 images' implying ~10 credits (~0.7¢) per image. Those are strong numbers, but they're best-case: 'up to' means the cheapest lite/mini models at default settings. Premium engines (full Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0) burn multiples of that, and Artlist doesn't publish the per-model rate card on the pricing page — check the in-app cost before assuming Starter covers a month of premium clips.

'Unlimited' has a speed limit, and that's the actual product

Creator and Professional add unlimited generation on select models — but read the mechanics: you get a fast-generation quota (900/month on Creator, 4,000 on Professional), after which unlimited continues at standard (slower) speed, with a cap on parallel jobs (5 and 8) and a human-use-only fair-use policy. The unlimited lists also skew to lite/fast variants on the cheaper tier — Professional's list is where Kling 3.0 and Wan 2.7 clearly appear. It's a genuinely good deal for high-volume iteration; it is not 'infinite premium video', and the speed cliff is the fine print that matters.

The licensing layer is the moat

What separates Artlist from raw engine access isn't the models — everyone licenses the same Veo/Kling/Seedance class — it's the surroundings: a stock catalog (music, SFX, footage, templates) with clean commercial licensing, business plans with legal indemnification, and one subscription covering the whole soundtrack-plus-visuals pipeline. For client-facing production houses, that legal cover and asset breadth is the actual purchase; the AI credits are the accelerant.

Verdict

Subscribe to Artlist if you produce complete videos — footage, music, voiceover, licensing and AI generation in one bill. AI Creator at $41.67/year-billed is a defensible buy for high-volume creators who'll live inside the unlimited models, and teams needing indemnified commercial use have few real alternatives at this breadth.

Skip it if you only need raw clips from one or two specific engines: an annual commitment, credit tiers and fair-use-gated 'unlimited' are a lot of machinery when what you want is n videos from Kling or Veo this month. Buy those per-clip and keep the subscription budget.

Only need the generation engines?

The same engine classes Artlist bundles run here without a subscription — Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Wan — first videos free, pay-as-you-go after, no annual contract. Finished cuts can go through a 4K video upscaler before delivery.

FAQ

What is Artlist AI?

Artlist's generative suite: AI video, image, voiceover and music generation across 100+ licensed models (Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana and more), plus Artlist Studio for end-to-end production — offered alongside Artlist's original royalty-free stock catalog.

How much does Artlist AI cost?

AI Starter is $11.99/month billed annually ($19.99 monthly) with 16,500 credits; AI Creator $41.67/month annual ($69.99 monthly) with 80,000 credits plus unlimited generation on 13 select models; AI Professional $239.99/month annual with 500,000 credits and unlimited on 16 models. Credit counts are configurable upward within tiers.

Is Artlist AI free to try?

You can generate sample voiceovers, images, a video and music for free, but there's no ongoing free credit allowance — sustained use needs a paid plan.

How does Artlist's unlimited generation work?

On Creator and up, select models generate without consuming credits. You get a monthly fast-generation quota (900 on Creator, 4,000 on Professional); beyond it, generations continue unlimited but at standard speed, with parallel-job caps and a human-use fair-use policy.

Which AI models does Artlist include?

100+ models including Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0/2.6/2.5, Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana 2 & Pro, Wan 2.7, GPT Image, Sora-class video and ElevenLabs-class audio. The unlimited lists per tier are on the pricing page.

Is Artlist worth it vs using engines directly?

For full productions needing licensed music, footage and legal cover, yes — the bundle is the point. For raw clip generation from one or two engines, per-clip access is cheaper and commitment-free.
