VEED.io — AI Video Generator & Online Editor, Free to Try
VEED is an editor first, with AI features around the edges. If what you need is the footage itself, that side runs here on frontier engines — first videos free, no watermark.
VEED is an independent product of VEED Limited. SeedDance is not affiliated with VEED — this page explains the tool and offers comparable generation directly.
VEED-style clips, generated here
Explainer openers, social cuts, b-roll — click any card to view the prompt.
The generation side, done properly
Text to video, not stock
Describe the shot and the engine renders it — no stock library to search when the exact scene you wrote does not exist in one.
Frontier engines underneath
Veo 3.1 and Seedance 2.0 handle the motion — the model class that editors license, exposed directly instead of metered behind a timeline.
Vertical and wide in one pass
16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 from the same prompt, so the social cut and the landing-page hero are not two separate jobs.
Finish in 4K
Send any generated clip straight to a 4K upscale before it goes back into your editor.
Generate a clip in 3 steps
Write the shot
Subject, camera move, light — 'slow dolly-in on a ceramic mug, soft window light' beats 'coffee video'.
Pick ratio & length
16:9 for embeds, 9:16 for Reels and Shorts; 5s or 10s per clip.
Download and cut
Clean MP4, no watermark — drop it into VEED, Premiere or whatever you already edit in.
What is VEED.io?
VEED (veed.io) is a browser-based video editor built in London, founded in 2018 by Sabba Keynejad and Tim Mamedov. Its core is a timeline editor with an AI layer around it: automatic subtitles and captions, screen and webcam recording, AI avatars and talking photos, text-to-speech and voice cloning, translation and dubbing, background removal and compression. Nothing installs — you cut, caption and export from a tab.
That editing suite is genuinely good, and this page does not try to replace it. What VEED is not built for is originating the shot: its generation features are a convenience next to the timeline, not the product. SeedDance takes the other half of the job — frontier text-to-video engines, first videos free to try, and downloads that come out clean.

VEED.io, answered
Is VEED free?
VEED offers a free plan, with the heavier export, length and branding options gated to paid tiers — check veed.io/pricing for current terms. On SeedDance your first videos are free to try, no card required, and downloads have no watermark.
What is VEED.io?
VEED is a browser-based video editor founded in London in 2018. It combines a timeline editor with AI features: automatic subtitles, screen recording, AI avatars, voice cloning, translation and dubbing.
Is this the official VEED site?
No — that's veed.io. SeedDance is an independent platform where you can generate video on frontier engines; we are not affiliated with VEED.
Does VEED put a watermark on free exports?
Free plans on editing suites commonly brand their exports — confirm the current rule on veed.io before you rely on it. Videos generated on SeedDance download clean on every tier, free or paid.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Videos you generate on SeedDance carry full commercial rights, provided you hold rights to anything you upload. VEED's licensing follows its own plan terms.
Can this replace my video editor?
No, and it isn't meant to. SeedDance generates clips; trimming, captioning and stitching still belong in an editor like VEED — download the MP4 and import it.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Both run in the browser — no download, no plugin, works the same on a laptop or a phone.
How do I add subtitles to a generated clip?
Generate the clip here, download the clean MP4, then run it through VEED's auto-subtitle tool or any captioning tool you already use.
