LTX Video — Lightricks' Open Video Model, No GPU Needed
LTX Video made open-source video fast — LTX-2 renders native 4K with synchronized audio. Self-hosting it still means serious hardware. Type a prompt here instead: comparable frontier engines deliver your clip in about a minute, no install, no watermark.
LTX Video / LTX-2 are open video models by Lightricks. SeedDance is an independent platform and is not affiliated with Lightricks — generation on this page runs on comparable hosted engines.

What is LTX Video?
LTX Video (LTXV) is Lightricks' family of open video generation models, launched in November 2024 as the first DiT-based open model built for speed — its distilled variants generate faster than real time on data-center GPUs. The line grew through 0.9.x releases (keyframes, a 13B variant, 60-second long-form) into LTX-2, announced October 2025: native 4K at up to 50fps with synchronized audio, whose full weights were opened in January 2026.
Open weights are the appeal — and self-hosting reality bites at the high end. The small distilled models run on modest GPUs, but 13B-class and LTX-2 4K generation want serious VRAM, and the LTX-2 license is free for smaller companies while larger ones need a commercial license. As usual: weights on GitHub and Hugging Face, assembly required.
If you just want the clip, hosted is the shortcut. SeedDance runs comparable frontier engines — Seedance 2.0 and Kling 3.0, marked "similar" in the generator above — for the same fast, punchy results: no GPU, first two videos free, no account.

LTX Video, answered
What is LTX Video?
LTX Video is Lightricks' open-source video model family, known for generation speed. The current flagship, LTX-2, produces native 4K video with synchronized audio; its weights opened in January 2026. Full explainer above.
Is LTX Video free?
The weights are free to download; LTX-2's license is free for academic use and smaller companies, with a commercial license for larger ones. On SeedDance your first videos on comparable engines are free to try — no card required.
Does this page run LTX Video itself?
No — generation here runs on comparable frontier engines (Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0), marked 'similar' in the model picker. To run LTX itself, use the Lightricks/LTX-Video and LTX-2 repos on GitHub.
Is this the official LTX site?
No — official homes are ltx.io and the Lightricks GitHub organization. SeedDance is an independent platform.
Can I run LTX Video locally?
Yes — that's its calling card. Small distilled variants run on modest GPUs (community setups report low-VRAM configs), while 13B models and LTX-2 4K output want high-end cards. ComfyUI support is solid.
Is LTX really faster than real time?
Lightricks' distilled 2B models have demonstrated faster-than-real-time generation on H100-class GPUs. On consumer hardware expect slower-than-real-time but still among the fastest open models.
Do videos here have a watermark?
No. Free and paid videos both download as clean MP4 files.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Videos generated on SeedDance come with full rights, commercial use included. Self-hosted LTX output follows Lightricks' license terms for your company size.
LTX vs Wan vs Hunyuan — which open model should I pick?
LTX for speed and 4K-with-audio ambition; Wan for the biggest ecosystem and tooling; Hunyuan for quality at consumer-GPU size. If you'd rather not pick hardware at all, run your prompt on the hosted engines above.
How long does a video take to generate here?
Typically 40–90 seconds for a 5-second 1080p clip, depending on queue load.
